Peacemaker star John Cena has signed on to lead a new action-comedy titled Officer Exchange.
Transcending his 'wrestling icon' status, Cena's been dabbling in the Fast & Furious and Transformers franchises for the past few years, but the role of Chris Smith/Peacemaker in the Worlds of DC marked his big entrance.
Now, according to Deadline, he's switching superpowers for law enforcement.

Recently sold to Amazon Studios, Officer Exchange is written by Ben Zazove and Evan Turner (The Out-Laws), with Cena on board as the "wrecking ball" cop Shepard, who teams up with an Indian policeman to take down diamond smugglers in South Asia.
Alongside his Peacemaker boss Peter Safran, Cena will executive produce as well as star.

Fast-forward to now, Cena is keen to return to Fast & Furious and he's also part of the ensemble cast for Matthew Vaughn's Argylle.
Peacemaker season 1 is streaming on HBO Max in the US, and airs on Sky and NOW in the UK.
