Morbius and Spider Man: No Way Home spoilers follow.

Morbius director Daniel Espinosa has confirmed that Spider-Man: No Way Home influenced the final cut of his film.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Espinosa talked about the impact the two year pandemic delay had on the Morbius fans saw when it was finally released in cinemas on March 31.

While most of the changes to the film came pre-pandemic, Espinosa explained that release No Way Home actually ended up having a major effect on its post credit scenes.

Espinosa explained: "We had to make some changes toward the very end because Spider-Man came out, and it had a certain kind of visual language that you had to hold on to, to have some kind of unilateral concept. But otherwise, most of the ideas of having connections to different worlds came before the pandemic."

Regarding the second scene, Espinosa shared: "How they wanted this encounter to happen between those two people, that evolved and changed. But I mean, those things happen. Scripts for these movies are always evolving."

"When I got him on set, I just pushed him to go for it because he's so lovely. The way he uses his body, he's like a dancer," he shared.

"It was really a joyful experience of having this young man and just filling him with the confidence and joy of acting. And I think you can tell he's having fun with it."
