Frozen's Olaf is being given his own origin story in a brand new original short on Disney+.
Once Upon a Snowman, which will stream on the platform from October 23, will look at what happened right after Elsa created Olaf.
The short will follow the loveable snowman during his first steps as he comes to life and searches for his identity in the mountains outside Arendelle.

"This is an idea that started to form when I was an animator on the first Frozen," said co-director Trent Correy.
"[Co-director] Dan Abraham and I are so grateful and excited to have had the opportunity to direct this short, working with our incredible colleagues at Walt Disney Animation Studios."
Abraham added: "Josh Gad gives one of the great animated voice performances as Olaf through the Frozen films. To have the opportunity to work with him in the recording booth was such a privilege and career highlight."
Meanwhile, Gad recently confessed that despite the huge subsequent success of the Frozen franchise, the first movie's initial screenings were actually a "mess".

"I'll never forget, six or seven months prior to the movie coming out, I was with [songwriter] Bobby Lopez... so I said, 'How's the movie coming?' and he goes, 'Well, we just screened the movie and it's a mess'," Gad explained on PeopleTV's Couch Surfing.
Lopez then expressed "hope" that it was salvageable, and that they were working on 'Do You Want to Build a Snowman?' at the time.
"Cut to six months later, I'm with my wife and we're screening it with Kristen Bell (who voices Anna) and Idina Menzel (Elsa) and the creatives," Gad continued.
"I turned to my wife – who's the most critical person I know – and she looks at me and she goes, 'This is really special, this is really, really special' and I left it there being like, 'OK we hit the mark'."
Frozen 2 is streaming on Disney+, and available on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K now.
