It turns out we could have seen Mamma Mia actress Amanda Seyfried in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The actress has opened up about passing on a major role in the superhero-verse, and while she didn't specify which character it was, the fact that being painted green was a massive deal breaker for her points strongly towards Gamora.
"I think about it often," Seyfried told ComicBook.com. "I'm not really a Marvel movie watcher, which is, I think, why I was just like, 'Ah, I don't wanna be green. It's just so much work.'

"I remember Jennifer Lawrence talking about it once, how long it took her to get blue. And I was like, 'That seems like hell on earth,' because then you get to set and you're only there for a couple hours, and then you have to take everything off. And that was literally the reason."
This isn't the first time that the actress has spoken about turning down a "big" superhero role, as she echoed comments made last year.
"I turned down one once and they haven't called me back," Seyfried admitted. "It was a big one. I don't regret it. That's the truth because I didn't want to be [painted] green for six months out of every year.
"Do you know what I mean? Beautiful, beautiful stories they tell through superheroes and my daughter is really obsessed with superheroes now. Part of me wishes I had done it, and part of me is like, 'I had a life to live!'"
Meanwhile, Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn has admitted that the upcoming third movie will "probably" be the last one with the "current team".
Guardians of the Galaxy vol 1 and vol 2 are available now.
