Zack Snyder has taken a swipe at the theatrical cut of Worlds of DC blockbuster Justice League.

The Watchmen filmmaker was the original director of the team-up movie before a family tragedy forced him to leave the project. Avengers maestro Joss Whedon stepped in to steer the ship, but it's no secret that the final product wasn't Snyder's fully intended vision.

Taking to his preferred social media platform Vero yesterday (March 29), he held a fan event live-streaming the Ultimate Edition of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, before levelling a mini dig at Justice League.

"I think they should make a sequel to this movie someday, that would be amazing," he joked. "That would really be something else.

"Yeah, I wanna know what happens to these guys, I mean, couldn't they eventually, I don't know, form some..." he added, before the stream cut out.
