Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has been out for a month now, but we've only just learned the full details about Ed Sheeran's secret cameo.
The movie previously teased that the singer-songwriter would be playing one of the stormtroopers, but apparently he had another role that will definitely come as a surprise to fans.
As revealed by Oh My Disney (and confirmed by the official Star Wars Twitter account), it turns out that one of the alien members of the Resistance was actually played by the 'Shape of You' singer.

The character, who doesn't have an official name, is just the latest in a string of guest roles for Ed.
His appearance in JJ Abrams' Episode IX comes after his entertaining turn in Beatles movie Yesterday, his killer role in The Bastard Executioner and his notorious cameo in Game of Thrones.
