Sony Pictures has released a new red-band trailer for Zombieland: Double Tap – and with its arrival, the film has confirmed that another OG cast member is returning for the sequel.
That's right, the follow-up won't only see Jesse Eisenberg, Abigail Breslin, Woody Harrelson and Emma Stone reprise their roles as apocalypse survivors Columbus, Little Rock, Tallahassee and Wichita. We're also getting another appearance from Bill Murray as... well, Bill Murray.

In the 2009 outing, the Groundhog Day star played himself in a subplot that saw the team break into his Hollywood mansion in the hopes of concealing themselves from the undead.
There, they discover that Murray is actually still alive and spends his days in zombie makeup so that he can walk around without being detected as a living, breathing human.
He agrees to let the gang stay, but later comes to regret his goodwill when Columbus fatally shoots him during a disastrous prank.

Columbus, Tallahassee, Little Rock and Wichita then wrap his body in bed sheets and roll it off of the two-storey balcony. So in the latest trailer when Harrelson declares, "Didn't see that coming," he's not joking.
As far as Murray's involvement in the sequel, it's likely to be brief. In the clip, he can be seen conducting a televised interview, where the film takes a jibe at itself by having the host ask, "What made you do it? And don't say the script... "
"Can this be just between us?" Murray replies. "Drugs cost money."
Starring newcomers Zoey Deutch, Luke Wilson and Rosario Dawson, Zombieland: Double Tap is also rumoured to feature a cameo from Murray's Ghostbusters co-star Dan Ackroyd.
Zombieland 2: Double Tap is scheduled for release in the UK and US on October 18, 2019.
