Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker reveals two new characters

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is only a matter of months away, and – thanks to a massively exciting merch announcement ahead of next week's Triple Force Friday – we now know a couple of new characters who will pop up in the movie.

A YouTube live stream on Thursday (September 26) saw the actors starring in the film discover the all-new toy versions of themselves, which included a first look at Keri Russell's mysterious Zorri.

But it was the shiny new LEGO and Hasbro that unveiled two characters we hadn't heard about yet: aliens Boolio and Babu Frik.

There wasn't too much given away about Boolio, but he did come out of the new LEGO Millennium Falcon, so he could play a vital part in the overall story of the movie. We can't decide if he's really cute or seriously creepy:

As for Babu Frik, he was an accessory attached to the Hasbro Black Series C-3PO figure and is a droid-builder. Definitely cute:

Judging by Anthony 'C-3PO' Daniels' reaction in the Force Friday preview video (he calls Babu one of his "truly favourite characters"), we might just have a new duo on our hands.

Naturally, we'll have to wait for Lucasfilm to confirm who these two aliens really are – which might not actually happen until the movie comes out – but we'll take what we can get for now.
