It's been confirmed Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will feature Luke Skywalker after all.
Mark Hamill plays the famous Jedi, who met his death at the end of The Last Jedi.
And, speaking recently, Mark confirmed his character would make an appearance in the final part of the current Star Wars trilogy, by coming back as a "Force ghost".
Spooky.

Asked if The Rise of Skywalker would be his last Star Wars film, Mark told AP Entertainment: "I sure hope so. I had closure in the last one [The Last Jedi].

We still have a little while to go until we see it all play out though, as Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker doesn't hit cinemas until December.

And, while it looks like the film will be Hamill's and presumably Carrie Fisher's — the actress died in December 2017 — last, there is hope a few new trilogy characters will live on post-The Rise of Skywalker.
So, it may not be the end of the Skywalkers just yet.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is released in UK cinemas on December 19 and US cinemas on December 20.
