Blizzard pits its worst characters against one another
Perhaps the most elaborate joke of the bunch, Blizzard Entertainment has revealed a website for a new game - Blizzard Outcasts: Vengeance of the Vanquished - which sees its most underappreciated characters compete in a gory fighter.
The biggest character highlights include Mankrick's dead wife from World of Warcraft, Deckard Cain from Diablo and the Dirt Devil from Rock n' Roll Racing.

EA's Frostbite engine gets behind the Wii U
Less amusing and more cruel, the official Twitter account for EA's Frostbite 3 engine has confirmed its engine now works on Wii U, to be "optimised for Mario and Zelda". To add insult to injury, it's also confirmed Half-Life 3 for this summer.

Guild Wars 2 wants you to use your head
Due to apparent studies that suggest players are more emotionally engaged with characters that have heads, every character in Guild Wars 2 will be given one. If they already have a head? Then it's now 200% larger.
Like last year's Retro Mode, this is a joke that actually appears in the game.
