Off the back of gamescom, Rise of the Tomb Raider has seen the release of a new 13-minute video showing Lara Croft's upcoming adventure.

The clip shows Croft exploring Syria for one of the game's many tombs, before encountering trouble and making a daring escape.

The game saw a similar long-form video off the back of E3 in June.

The sequel to the acclaimed 2013 Tomb Raider reboot is primarily set in the frozen wilds of Siberia, and will send Lara on a hunt for the lost secrets of immortality.

It will reportedly feature more diverse environments and larger tomb puzzles, as Lara confronts a new enemy that has been lying in the shadows.

Rise of the Tomb Raider was recently revealed to have a year's worth of console exclusivity, where it will be launching on PC in the spring and PS4 in late 2016.

It will debut on Xbox One on November 13 in Europe and November 10 in North America.
