Rhianna Pratchett writing Rise of the Tomb Raider

Pratchett will explore Lara Croft's "inner turmoil and motivations".

Rhianna Pratchett will pen the Tomb Raider sequel, it has been announced.

Pratchett will write Crystal Dynamics' recently announced Rise of the Tomb Raider, having previously penned last year's Tomb Raider reboot.

Following the events of Tomb Raider, Pratchett will explore Lara Croft's "inner turmoil and motivations".

The author confirmed her involvement earlier this week, but didn't specify her role on the upcoming sequel.

The game was revealed alongside a cinematic trailer as part of Microsoft's press conference at E3 2014.
