An impending update for all console versions of Minecraft will add stained glass, new game options and more.
Set to dispatch tomorrow (July 1), update version 1.17/TU25/CU14 will also implement an option to customise the vertical layouts of flat worlds in Mojang's sandbox game.
The update will also introduce new blocks, including oak, spruce, birch and jungle wood types, as well as fences, gates and doors that players can use to build log cabins.
Other highlights include new game options, such as the ability to change the game mode, difficulty, time, player spawn position, ambient cave sounds and weather without leaving a game session.
The update will additionally mark the arrival of iron trapdoors, inverted daylight sensors, and books and quills.
On PlayStation platforms, users will be given free access to the 'Minecon 2015' skin pack, which features Alex and Steve wearing a selection of smart capes.
