Minecraft fans can now play the blockbuster building game with their friends on mobile.

It's all thanks to Minecraft Realms, which lets users rent their own servers and play with up to 10 people at a time.

Previously only available for PC, Minecraft Realms is currently in beta on Android, where it can be tried for free. 

It will eventually come to iOS, Windows Phone and Windows 10, although it's not clear how much it will cost. The PC version is £5.59 a month, so it's likely to be incorporated into that.

The server host has the power to import and export maps, change games and invite other players.

Being able to team up with a few friends and work on that project on the go will certainly make the commute to work more bearable.
