Meanwhile, earlier this month, the publisher's PR Job Stauffer mentioned on Giant Bomb's E3 coverage that the publisher would "be there".
"We would have brought that here [at E3], but I think Minecraft has its own convention in two weeks, maybe over fourth of July weekend, somewhere in London," he said. "Maybe you'll see it there. Just a hunch".
Few details have been revealed about the project after its reveal late last year. Minecraft creator Mojang said the standalone, episodic release would be an original story driven by player choice, with all new characters.
What to Read Next
"We're not intending on creating an 'official' story for Steve, or explaining the world of Minecraft in detail," said the studio at the time. "It will be a cool game."
Minecraft: Story Mode is set to release on Xbox consoles, PlayStation consoles, PC, Mac, iOS, and Android devices.
Telltale Games is currently releasing episodes in the Game of Thrones and Tales from the Borderlands universes.
It also plans to release a mini-series based on The Walking Dead character Michonne later this year.
Last year, Minecraft developer Mojang was sold to Microsoft for approximately $2.5 billion.
