Could the Wii U console's first original Zelda title be skipping 2016?
Although Nintendo is yet to give an answer to that question, the company doesn't have the game listed on its 2016 release calendar.
Zelda Wii U was conspicuously absent from Nintendo's E3 2015 presentation last month.
It was initially on track to launch in 2015, but Nintendo delayed it to make it the 'ultimate and most complete Zelda game'.
The upcoming release will move away from the conventions of The Legend of Zelda series, with series producer Eiji Aonuma explaining that he wanted to take the traditional formula and make it more unique.
