Updated story: The first in-game glimpse for Gears of War creator Cliff Bleszinski's next game, LawBreakers, has been revealed in a gameplay trailer.

The short teaser showcases the game's futuristic Grand Canyon map and four of its classes trading bullets on anti-gravity maps.

The team-based first-person shooter will launch with a free-to-play business model on PC sometime in 2016.

The free-to-play sci-fi arena shooter is called LawBreakers and is in development at Boss Key Productions for release in 2016.

The announcement was made during the studio's Twitch livestream earlier today (August 26), when its worldwide premiere trailer (above) was unveiled.

LawBreakers pits two groups against each other - the 'law' and the 'lawbreakers'. It also has three key pillars - gangs, guns and gravity.

Users will be playing with gravity and using tools such as grappling hooks to the point where "you can essentially make the ground lava", according to Bleszinski (via Polygon).

LawBreakers was first announced under the code name Bluestreak in 2014 for PC.
