Xbox studio head Phil Spencer told Twitter followers that he recently spent the day with Gears of War studio Black Tusk.

Microsoft purchased the rights to the Gears of War series earlier this year.
Former Epic Games director Rod Fergusson will oversee development of the franchise at Black Tusk's Vancouver studio.
Microsoft previously said that Gears of War needs to be reimagined for the Xbox One, admitting that the franchise "did kind of run its course" on the Xbox 360.
