Revenge casts Olivier Martinez as Margaux's father

Revenge has cast Olivier Martinez in a major new role.

Martinez - the husband of Halle Berry - will play the father of Karine Vanasse's character Margaux, Deadline reports.

Vanasse recently signed a new deal with the ABC series, meaning that she will become a series regular if Revenge is picked up for a fourth season.

French actor Martinez will recur on the show as Pascal LeMarchal, a ruthless media mogul who shares a past with Conrad (Henry Czerny) and Victoria (Madeleine Stowe).

ABC is yet to officially confirm a fourth season renewal for Revenge, which stars Emily Van Camp, with a formal announcement on the show's future not expected until May.

Revenge continues on Sundays at 9/8c on ABC and airs on Mondays at 9pm on E4 in the UK.
