New details have emerged about Justin Hartley's role on Revenge.

The Smallville star will play Patrick, the long-lost son of Victoria (Madeleine Stowe) on the ABC drama's third season.

Stowe told TVLine that Hartley's character may have a dark, "warped" reason for returning to the Hamptons.

"It is going to be interesting because he appears to be sunny and bright, but this is Revenge," she teased. "I have a feeling that if he comes from Victoria, there is something very warped there!"

Best known for playing Oliver Queen / Green Arrow on Smallville, 36-year-old Hartley starred on The CW's medical drama Emily Owens MD until the show's cancellation in November 2012.
