It's taken some time, but it looks like HBO is finally starting to do some promo for Game of Thrones' final season.
Entertainment Weekly has got some first-look photos at the eighth run of the series, and a lengthy feature going behind the scenes.
While the pictures are being kept for the magazine, which is out tomorrow (November 2), the feature is online now. They aren't allowed to reveal too much, but the powers that be did allow the publication to tell us how season eight begins.
The opening episode contains plenty of callbacks to the first episode. It will be set in Winterfell with the Starks awaiting a royal visitor. But instead of King Robert, it's the woman with a thousand titles, Daenerys.
We are told that the confrontations between characters, some of whom have never met before, will be tense. One example is that Sansa expresses her displeasure over Jon Snow bending the knee.
As the main show draws to a close, the first details for the Game of Thrones spin-off – reportedly titled The Long Night – have emerged, with the prequel casting Naomi Watts and Poldark's Josh Whitehouse in lead roles.
