Ant-Man and the Wasp's Evangeline Lilly has admitted she is not really that interested in rebooting Lost, despite persistent rumours.

The Marvel star gained her first big break as part of the cult show, though it seems she's very much of the opinion that we should let the past die.

"There's a rumor every year that they are going to reboot Lost," the actress told Entertainment Weekly. "The thing about reboots and remakes is that I don't like them in general, period.

"I want people to leave Star Wars alone! I did love Rogue One, as an aside. But for the most part, I don't usually love them. I feel like it's just tainting something that's precious.

"I've said I don't want to do things in the past and I've done them – you know, never say never – but sitting where I am today, my assumption is no."

Lilly recently hit out at the crew of Lost, accusing a "misogynistic" former co-worker of intentionally injuring her on set.

The actress claimed that a stunt coordinator was against her doing her own stunt, and so rejected her request to wear protective fabric on her arm.

"There were open wounds, pus-y and oozing," Lilly recalled after revealing she was asked to perform the stunt over and over despite injuries. "I looked like a mutant. My mum said, 'You'll never be able to wear an evening gown again!'"

Lilly appeared on the show between 2004 and 2010.

Ant-Man and the Wasp releases in UK cinemas on August 3 and in the US on July 6.
