Evangeline Lilly has accused a "misogynistic" former co-worker of intentionally injuring her on the set of Lost.
The Ant-Man and the Wasp actress appeared on a panel with esteemed stuntwomen in Hollywood this week and relayed a story that she says happened while filming Lost many years ago.
Evangeline alleges that a stunt coordinator working on a Lost episode didn't take kindly to her wanting to perform her own stunt, so he rejected her request to wear a protective fabric on her arms while shooting the scene.
As the actress tells it, the screen required her to roll over a massive tree branch, and each take rubbed the skin off her forearms — but Evangeline says the crew would only rub a liquid bandage solution on her skin in-between takes as she was asked to perform the stunt over and over again.
"There were open wounds, pus-y and oozing," she remembered. "I looked like a mutant. My mum said, 'You'll never be able to wear an evening gown again!'"
Evangeline suggested that her treatment was punishment from a "misogynistic" co-worker for defying his authority, and acknowledged that today she would have backed down and let a stunt performer do the scene instead (via Deadline).
