The Simpsons has cracked out its crystal ball once again, predicting another huge event way ahead of its time.

After Team USA's huge (and surprising) curling win at the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang on Saturday (February 24), Simpsons fans started remembering an episode from eight years ago that featured Homer and Marge leading the USA curling team to an Olympic gold medal.

Not only that, but because the writers at The Simpsons are clearly flat-out psychic, the episode even predicted who the USA would beat out for the trophy: Sweden.

"Congratulations to US men's gold medal curling team! Good predictions can come true too," The Simpsons' showrunner Al Jean posted on Twitter yesterday.

He then followed that up with another screengrab from the episode featuring the Olympic medal ceremony as-told-by-The Simpsons, captioning it: "Medal ceremony filmed by us in 2010."

"Congrats to @USACurling2018 on their gold!" Simpsons writer Rob LaZebnik added.

Writer Dan Greaney said of that particular prediction: "That just seemed like the logical last stop before hitting bottom. It was pitched because it was consistent with the vision of America going insane."

At least this time the show's psychic powers predicted good things for the American people.
