Even with another two years until fans of Westeros can return to HBO's Game of Thrones, it hasn't stopped juicy titbits about the series' swansong slipping through the net.

The latest star to keep the fires burning is John Bradley, who has teased a change of venue for his character Samwell Tarly, as well as many others on the show.

Speaking to EW, Bradley revealed that he may not be left sitting at Winterfell for long if the writers have their way.

"Each of the characters this year is placed in a completely alien environment at some point in the season that they've never been placed in before," said Bradley. "The thrill is seeing how they react to it and how they respond… This season, I think, more than any other is stretching these characters."

However, while Thrones is already known for its long journeys across the Seven Kingdoms, it now sounds like everyone will be packing their bags and heading for pastures new in the show's final season.

As the site notes, this is perhaps most interesting for Queen Cersei Lannister, who was last seen keeping an iron grip on the Iron Throne in season 7. Given that there are possible scenes of King's Landing being burned to the ground and an approaching threat of White Walkers, will the Queen of the realm finally be forced to find a new place to call home?

Bradley has played the kind-hearted BFF of Jon Snow since season one, and now finds himself as a key member of the cast.

After apparently teaming up with Bran Stark, it certainly sounds promising that the Tarly heir will soon be crossing paths with some of the other big Game of Thrones players. However, will Sam ever get free from the snowy climes of the North?

There are even rumours that it is Sam himself who is the man behind writing the epic saga, but we will have to wait until 2019 to see how his story plays out.
