The Punisher has seemingly just revealed the episode titles for its first season.
The Netflix series posted a video teaser on Monday (August 28) that contained messages disguised in Morse code, which turned out to be 13 distinct phrases — the exact same number of episodes commissioned for The Punisher.
According to Entertainment Weekly, those messages were encoded into the following list:
1. '3 AM'
2. 'Two Dead Men'
3. 'Kandahar'

4. 'Resupply'
5.'Gunner'
6.'The Judas Goat'
7. 'Crosshairs'
8. 'Cold Steel'
9. 'Front Toward Enemy'
10. 'Virtue of the Vicious'
11. 'Danger Close'
12. 'Home'
13. 'Memento Mori'
One phrase in particular of note is Kandahar, the war-torn city in Afghanistan where we know that Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) once served during the War on Terror. Will we see Frank's past come back to haunt him?
Other potential episode titles — like 'Front Toward Enemy' and 'Gunner'— also seem to tip that The Punisher's war years will, at the very least, provide a spine for his latest one-man war on crime.
The next Netflix and Marvel series brings back the vigilante from Daredevil's second season for another quest to wipe out the crimelords of New York City by absolutely any means necessary.
His reckless actions will see him once again cross paths with Daredevil's Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll), as well as his troubled fellow former Special Forces member Billy Russo (Ben Barnes).
No premiere date for The Punisher has been announced yet, but it will definitely air on Netflix worldwide this year. Watch a teaser below:
