Game of Thrones' latest season six teaser is only 30 seconds long, but there are plenty of twists, turns and potential spoilers packed in.

From the off, a brief scene of Jon Snow's corpse - variations of which we've seen before - hints at it not being a corpse at all, as one eye appears to be open.

While it might not be definitive proof (since Jon was seen in season five with his eyes open in the moments before he died), coupling the shot with a year of Jon Snow rumours hint that Kit Harington could be doing A LOT more than just playing a corpse in season six.

Previous trailers have gone to great lengths to digitally obscure Snow's eyes or shut them altogether - which makes this latest clip a bit more intriguing.

For starters, two warriors wearing Targaryen sigils unleash hell on an enemy – after a previous trailer first showed this army in action.

There has been speculation that this will actually be flashback footage to a great battle in the Seven Kingdoms' past, rather than Daenerys Targaryen realigning her family's army.

Daenerys Targaryen seems to be in too much trouble to build an army, as she's shoved by a Dothraki capturer while marching with his horde.

Indira Varma's Ellaria Sand looks worse for wear too when she briefly appears, in the aftermath of her plot to poison Myrcella Baratheon being exposed in the season five finale.

The most haunting moment comes with the return of Bran Stark – who is confronted by the undead Night's King for a split second.

How will all of this play out?

We'll find out when Game of Thrones returns on Sunday (April 24) on HBO and Monday (April 25) on Sky Atlantic.
