Is Jon Snow dead on Game of Thrones? Judging by script pages released by HBO of the fifth season finale, he most certainly is.
The final page specifically says (via Entertainment Weekly), after Jon is stabbed by a group of brothers at Castle Black, that he is left to "die alone on the ground, bleeding out".
Kit Harington, who plays Jon, insisted he's not in the new season but has done some scenes as a corpse.
Co-stars Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Maisie Williams and HBO boss Michael Lombardo have also all been adamant that the fan favourite character is dead.
Game of Thrones returns to HBO on April 24 in the US.
Season six of Game of Thrones will be simulcast on Sky Atlantic at 2am on April 25, at the same time as it airs in the US, and will be repeated at 9pm the same day.
