The Amazing Race nor MasterChef Junior could top an airing of the 1970 animated special Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town on Friday (November 27), according to Nielsen figures.

ABC's annual screening of the holiday classic earned 1.1 (4.46m) at 8pm, with 20/20 taking 1.1 (4.72m) at 10pm.

Over on CBS, The Amazing Race drew 1.0 (5.51m) at 8pm and was followed by a night of repeats.

MasterChef Junior and World's Funniest received 0.9 (3.20m) at 8pm and 0.6 (1.84m) at 9pm on Fox respectively.

The CW's holiday specials topped its normal Friday ratings, with Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer garnering 0.4 (1.57m) at 8pm and Kung Fu Panda Holiday Special taking 0.5 (1.55m) at 9pm.

Later in the night on The CW, Merry Madagascar earned 0.5 (1.68m) at 9.30pm.

An encore showing of The National Dog Show grabbed 0.6 (3.79m) at 8pm on NBC, while Dateline pulled in 0.9 (4.24m) at 10pm.
