By It really is coming back, and it has the Comic-Con panel to prove it. Heroes Reborn will take to the huge Hall H today to bring us teasers and hints about what we can expect when the show returns with its 13-episode event series.
The panel will be hosted by none other than cast member Greg Grunberg and will feature creator Tim Kring and stars Jack Coleman, Zachary Levi, Robbie Kay, Kiki Sukezane, Ryan Guzman, Gatlin Green, Henry Zebrowski, Judith Shekoni, Danika Yarosh and Rya Kihlstedt. And it's not all about the show, either, as we're promised info about the digital prequel series and the video and mobile games.

14:44We just got treated to another clip of Hiro in action with Mohinder - and wow, he's not pulling any punches! Let's just say it was a pretty gory scene that got people gasping (and then applauding, obviously).
14:41Zachary says he would call himself Benedict Cumberbatch. Amazing. But what would Tim pick? El Jefe!
14:41Henry picks "Burrito King", while Gatlin Green says her name would have to have something with Gs in it but kind of just goes for "G". Robbie picks The Magician, while Judith chooses Miss Badass and Ryan goes for El Grande.
14:39What would the cast's superhero names be? Masi picks 'Bad Motherf**king Kronos'. Rya doesn't think she can say her one out loud but does anyway: "Super Vagina". "That was my nickname in high school," Greg jokes.
14:38How much of the comics and web content and the like that happened after Heroes ended is still canon? "The canon of the show remains intact," Tim says. "This is very true to the mythology and the core canon of the show - we're not deviating from anything." He says they want to honour anyone who has spent that much time watching the show.
14:37Greg admits it was "strange" going back on set: "It really was such a blessing. Going back felt like putting on an old jacket again." Tim says it felt like the five intervening years had disappeared.
14:36What's going on with HRG now? Jack says he's trying to live a quiet suburban life until Quentin shows up - oh, and there are some gaps in his memory, too.
14:35The next fan wants to know about the soundtrack, but Tim says it's all still in the works. But he says he likes breaking new music on the show and says it's always been important to the series.
14:34Tim says he loves the idea that there's a five-year gap between the last season and Heroes Reborn. He says the other stuff aside from the show fills in a lot of the gaps, but says a lot also does get unpacked in Heroes Reborn. "By the time you watch the finale you'll have a big chunk of that," he says.
14:33Masi says he thought it was "awesome" when he found out the show was coming back. "We kind of left it unfinished," he says, adding that he feels it's a good chance to wrap things up. "I just hoped that they would call us to be a part of it!"
14:32Zachary says he's trying to convince Tim to let Luke sing on the show! Henry's a singer too apparently: "I'm like Meat Loaf meets Shania Twain."
14:29Tim says the story is changed "considerably" because the world knows about powers now. People who discover powers now know they will be persecuted: "It adds a little more stakes and a little more drama."
14:27Tim says the characters that come back from the original series depended on the story they were telling - it wasn't a matter of who they could and couldn't get. And he says Jack is the "linchpin" from the original cast.
14:26Waaah! Amazing! We just got a message from Masi Oka who apologised that he couldn't be there - but then used his powers to appear on the panel! Yep, he's here!
14:25Rya Kihlstedt says her character Erica is "Sheryl Sandberg but with a bigger vision"! And Danika Yarosh says her character Malina has always kind of been told she's destined for greatness. Finally, Henry Zebrowski - who plays Quentin - explains that his character is a conspiracy theorist who ends up meeting Noah. Oooh, and Jimmy Jean-Louis is here too!
14:23Gatlin Green meets Tommy at school and finds out his secret - she's there to help him out. But she gets pulled into the chaos: "There's some bravery to it."
14:23Judith Shekoni is working a lot with Zachary and says she's having a lot of fun: "We get to have a twisted messed up relationship on TV."
14:22Robbie Kay - who is playing Tommy - says he is a typical high schooler with a massive secret, his power (the ability to make other people disappear). "That terrifies him - he has no idea where they go, if they crumble into the abyss or go somewhere else," Robbie explains. "All he wants to do is be a normal kid." Greg jokes that is like all of the characters on the panel.
14:21Ryan Guzman explains that his character Carlos is an army vet with a troubled past who is presented with an opportunity. He's a bit nervous about what he can give away!
14:20Jack says it has been amazing putting the glasses back on. "I felt like I was dressing up for Halloween," he says, explaining that the first time he put them on was for the Super Bowl spot. "Once I got my gun I was good to go!" he jokes.
14:19So how has it been for Zachary going from Chuck to his Heroes Reborn character Luke? "Chuck never killed anyone!" Zachary says. He adds that Luke is a tortured guy who's been very hurt and has a tough relationship with his wife...
14:18There are huge cheers for the trailer (and the audience LOVED it when Micah and Hiro popped up in the footage!). It does look pretty epic. But it's time for some panellists - first out is Jack Coleman (wearing a "Kiki is my hero" shirt), followed by Zachary Levi. Then pretty much the entire rest of the cast!
14:11We're going to get a quick peek at the extended trailer now - it hasn't been shown anywhere else yet!
14:11Tim explains that we'll pick up five years from where we left off. "The entire world knows about these powers and it's not such a good thing," he teases.
14:10This season has shot in Iceland, Tokyo, Los Angeles, Paris... sounds like a pretty fun trip!
14:09Greg says the bar has been raised since Heroes has been off air - how did Tim match that? "Now huge shows are out there we have to compete with," Tim agrees. He says the show has always been about the characters, but he admits some things are much easier now - take special effects.
14:08Time to get this panel started properly! Greg Grunberg is out on stage to give Tim a big hug and moderate the panel. He admits he remembers being at Comic-Con the first time... and adds: "I love each and every one of you in this room!" He thanks people for hugging him when he's walked the floor.
14:06Right, we're back - we just got to see a trailer for the video games and some footage from the digital prequel Dark Matters.
13:58Plus there will be six ebooks telling the story of Heroes Reborn characters, and there's already an app, too. It launches the digital prequel Dark Matters, which tells the story of two key characters.
13:57Tim announces there are going to be two Heroes video games! They're next-generation premium games - one a mobile and tablet game, and the other a PC and console game. "They tell a story that bridges the gap between the first Heroes and Heroes Reborn."
13:56Tim Kring is out on stage introducing this panel! He thanks the fans who watched every episode, and says to any fans who got tired of it because they thought the show got tired: "We've had a long rest!"
