Sendhil Ramamurthy has joined DC's Doom Patrol as a villain in the upcoming season.
The actor, best known for playing the role of genetics professor Mohinder Suresh on Heroes, will recur as Mr. 104.
A biochemist who has the ability to transform his body into any element of his choosing, Ramamurthy's character is described as a "charming and mysterious man of many elements" (via TVLine).

Ramamurthy, who also recently appeared in Never Have I Ever and Good Sam, is now part of a sizeable ensemble.
The cast of Doom Patrol includes Brendan Fraser and Riley Shanahan (playing the human and robot version of Cliff Steele respectively), Orange Is the New Black's Diane Guerrero (Jane), Matt Bomer and Matthew Zuk (Larry Trainor), April Bowlby (Rita Farr), Joivan Wade (Vic Stone) and Skye Roberts (Kay Challis).
Bowlby, Bomer and Fraser reprise their roles from the series Titans, though the two shows are set in separate continuities.
Michelle Gomez (Chilling Adventure of Sabrina, The Flight Attendant) also stars as Laura De Mille aka Madame Rouge, a shapeshifter with ties to Niles Caulder / The Chief, a key character played by Timothy Dalton in earlier seasons.

In season 4, the team of unlikely heroes will unexpectedly travel to the future to find an unwelcome surprise, the official HBO Max synopsis says.
"Faced with their imminent demise, the Doom Patrol must decide once and for all which is more important: their own happiness or the fate of the world?"
The first two episodes of Doom Patrol season 4 premiere on HBO Max on December 8. One episode will then premiere weekly through January 5, with six additional episodes to be released in 2023.
