Grey's Anatomy fans will be devastated to hear that an OG star has no intention to go back to the show at present.
Though this won't exactly be news to most long-time Grey's lovers, it seems that star Sandra Oh has recently reiterated how she views the medical drama as a closed chapter in her career.
Oh, who played brilliant cardiothoracic surgeon and Meredith Grey's best friend Cristina Yang for 10 seasons, was quizzed about a possible return to the long-running series, now in its 21st season.
While she expressed respect and admiration for die-hard fans of the series, she also said she wished "to be true" to herself.
"What I have noticed, this is 10 years out from leaving the show, is the deep appreciation that I have for the people who appreciate Cristina," she said in an interview with Deadline.

"It is that love that has made me go, 'Oh. The fans really, really, really want it,' and for the first time, that's when I started opening up the idea."
Before hopeful Grey's fans could read too much into her answer, she added: "For me, I think to really be true to the people who enjoy your work, you have to be true to yourself. So at this point, I don't think so."
Last year, Oh made similar comments about a potential return as Cristina.

"I love that you asked me that, because Cristina Yang is, of course, near and dear to my heart," she told Entertainment Tonight. "[But] I will say, not anytime soon, my love. I hope people feel like I did my job, which is that I brought to life a character and she had a growth over 10 seasons, and that it was true. She was ready to move on, and so have I."
Oh fans will next see her in Aziz Ansari's directorial feature debut Good Fortune, also starring Ansari, Keanu Reeves, Keke Palmer and Seth Rogen.
Grey's Anatomy season 21 airs on Thursdays at 10pm ET on ABC in the US. Previous seasons are streaming on Disney+ in the UK.
