The White Lotus aired the penultimate season 3 episode this week, but fans are only just noticing a detail from last week's episode.

In the episode, titled 'Denials', brothers Saxon and Lochlan wake up from their drug-fuelled hook-up with Chloe and eventually separately realise that they did more than just kissing with each other.

The duo spent the episode wearing the clothes they were wearing from the night before... except they were wearing each other's shorts.

Neither Saxon nor Lochlan seemed to notice in the episode, and it turns out that until show's official Instagram account made it obvious with a before-and-after comparison and a "Dress comfortably for the day ahead" caption, many fans didn't realise either.

"I DIDNT EVEN NOTICE THEY SWITCHED SHORTS," wrote one fan, while another said "OMG stop it" and a third commented "omg I didn't even realize they have on each others shorts."

"Lochlan literally wears the pants now," someone noted, while someone compared it to Call Me By Your Name, stating: "The shorts swap is so Elio and Oliver coded."

There were also plenty of cheeky comments like "Shorts wasn't the only thing they exchanged that night…"

Speaking about the incest storyline, Saxon actor Patrick Schwarzenegger explained that he really enjoyed playing it.

"I'm playing a character," he said. "When you join The White Lotus, you know Mike [White, the creator] is going to push boundaries. That's why he's a genius."

He added that: "As an actor, playing the most uncomfortable scenes is the most fun because they are the biggest challenge. I'm not saying that scene was the most fun, but it's fun to push yourself and put yourself in uncomfortable positions because then you learn."

The White Lotus season 3 finale will air this Sunday (April 6) on HBO in the US, and stream on Max. It will available via Sky/NOW on Monday (April 7) in the UK, and air on Sky Atlantic.
