Taylor Sheridan and John Linson's neo-Western smash hit Yellowstone is now available to stream on Netflix.

The Paramount+ drama starring Kevin Costner centres on the Dutton family who own Yellowstone, the largest ranch in Montana, as they manage tensions between them and the Indian reservation on their neighbouring borders.

Yellowstone first aired on June 20 2018 and has since grown in popularity bringing in a record-breaking 13.6 million viewers for its season five part two finale back in December 2024.

Since its debut, the Yellowstone universe has expanded to include two spin-offs, 1883 and 1923 – however, it has not been confirmed whether or not they will also be made available to stream on Netflix in the coming months.

A third spin-off titled The Madison is also on its way.

The Madison (previously under the working title 2024) is reported to have cast Hollywood icon Michelle Pfeiffer as its lead. Pfeiffer will also produce the new series.

The logline for the show, which will follow a New York City family in the Madison River valley of central Montana, reads: "The series is a heartfelt study of grief and human connection."

Paramount Global co-CEO and president and CEO of Showtime and MTV Entertainment Studios Chris McCarthy called Pfeiffer "a remarkable talent who imbues every role with emotional depth, authenticity and grace" (via Variety).

He continued: "She is the perfect anchor to the newest chapter of the Yellowstone universe, The Madison, from the brilliant mind of Taylor Sheridan."

As for the main series, fans are still waiting for an update on Yellowstone's season six renewal status. However, if it is greenlit, Costner's John Dutton will not be a part of the show's future following the actor's exit announcement back in June 2024.

"It was something that really changed me," Costner told fans via Instagram. "I loved it, and I know you loved it and I just wanted to let you know that I won't be returning."

He added: "I love the relationship that we've been able to develop, and I'll see you at the movies."

Yellowstone is available to stream now on Netflix and Paramount+.
