The long-awaited second season of Tulsa King brought more of star Sylvester Stallone looking endlessly tough as the inimitable Oklahoma capo Dwight Manfredi, fresh from a 25-year stretch behind bars.
The mob drama from Yellowstone mastermind Taylor Sheridan has once again gone down a treat with viewers. 'The General' ramped up operations from his new base in Tulsa, building up his own criminal network one goodfella at a time.
Now that season two has wrapped up its 10-part run, with a dramatic final episode co-written by The Sopranos writer Terence Winter and Stallone himself, will we be getting a season three?
Paramount+ hasn't given the official greenlight to make more episodes of Tulsa King just yet, but the signs are looking good.
For one thing, Stallone has essentially confirmed it's coming. He shared his excitement about the second season’s warm reception along with a tease of ongoing discussions for a third.
Stallone wrote on Instagram: "I am elated and so proud of our cast because our show has gone up 75% over [the] last year which is unheard of, and season 2 got 100% on ROTTEN TOMATOES! Also it’s the second most popular show in the WORLD across all streaming services!"

He wrapped up his statement with a boxing glove emoji, writing: "Thank you so much and we are working on the third season at this moment."
The Rotten Tomatoes score is only based on five reviews, so perhaps not the best representation of critical consensus, but the audience has voted with their feet anyway. The season-two premiere episode alone drew in a whopping two million global views in its first day, marking an all-time viewership record for the show, Deadline reported.
"Tulsa King’s return shattered records with two million active sub households on premiere day and over five million globally for the week, fuelling Paramount+’s continued momentum as the fastest growing SVOD four years in a row," Paramount Global Co-CEO Chris McCarthy said.
"The show’s success is a testament to the combination of Sly’s star power and swagger coupled with Terry Winter’s gifted writing and the unique world building that only Taylor Sheridan can do."
So for now, watch this space, but all the signs are pointing to good things ahead for Tulsa King fans.
