Outlander has dropped an epic new trailer, teasing fans with what's to come in season seven part two.

The first eight episodes of season seven arrived back in June 2023, with the final episode seeing Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) leaving America and finally heading back to where it all began: Scotland.

The second part of season seven will be released on November 22, focusing on events featured in author Diana Gabaldon's seventh and eighth books of the Outlander series, An Echo in the Bone and Written in My Own Blood.

The couple arrive at Lallybroch, where they're greeted by Jamie's sister Jenny (now played by Kristin Atherton, who replaced Laura Donnelly due to scheduling conflicts).

Meanwhile, Roger heads back through the stones of Craigh na Dun in search of his young son Jemmy – who has been kidnapped by Rob Cameron – leaving his wife Bree and daughter Mandy behind in the 20th century.

Elsewhere in the trailer, Lord John Grey writes to Jamie and Claire, begging Claire to come and tend to his injured nephew.

However, when she arrives, she's met with some bad news about Jamie, who is briefly shown staring down the barrel of a gun on the battlefield.

"I would feel it in my heart if his had stopped," she tells John. "Mine would stop too."

We're also shown glimpses of some returning characters, including Geillis Duncan and Dougal MacKenzie.

Outlander has already been renewed for an eighth and final season, though Diana Gabaldon has stated that the show will have a different ending to her books.

Outlander airs on Starz in the US, and streams via MGM+ on Prime Video Channels in the UK. Season 7 part 2 premieres on November 22.
