Bones will write Emily Deschanel's pregnancy into the show.
The actress, who plays Dr Temperance 'Bones' Brennan on the Fox show, is expecting a second child with her husband David Hornsby.
Speaking to TVLine, Bones showrunner Stephen Nathan said: "We are so happy for Emily.
"As before, rather than try to hide this from a sophisticated audience, we are integrating her pregnancy into the show."
He added: "Booth and Brennan, like most couples today, will continue to work, play and catch murderers - maybe they're unique in this respect - as their family grows.
"As with most new situations that have arisen in 10 years, we feel that this can only enhance the show.

Deschanel recently hinted that the crime show could return for an 11th season.
