Blair Brown will make a guest appearance in Person of Interest.
The Fringe star will play Emma, an "elegant and warm" ex-public school teacher, reports IGN.
After Emma was forced into taking an early retirement, she is summoned for jury service which brings some excitement back into her life.
The actress has also joined the third season of Orange is the New Black, joining other newcomers Mary Steenburgen and Mike Birbiglia.
Brown is well known for playing Nina Sharp in all five seasons of Fringe.
She will appear in the 14th episode of Person of Interest season 4, which will air in February 2015.
