Glee's final season will return to its high school focus, co-creator Ryan Murphy has suggested.
The writer told TVLine that the show will move back to its original style in the upcoming sixth season, following a shift in focus to New York for much of season five.
Teasing a possible return to McKinley High, Murphy said: "We're working on the last season now and it really feels like it's getting back to its roots, which I love.
"I'm sort of reinvigorated about it. It's getting back to what I was initially interested in with the show.
"The last season is really about the importance of arts education in our high schools... I think people will like it."
Murphy also admitted that the sudden death of star Cory Monteith caused him to "step away" from Glee for a while.
