The Bachelor's Juan Pablo Galavis apparently will not be allowed to compete on Dancing with the Stars due to the controversy over his anti-gay remarks.
Galavis sparked outrage by saying in January that a gay or lesbian version of The Bachelor or The Bachelorette would not be appropriate for children to watch.
"There's this thing about gay people, that it seems to me, and I don't know if I'm mistaken or not, you know I have a lot of friends and that, they're more pervert in a sense," he said.
"To me the show would be too strong, too hard to watch on TV."
Galavis later offered a formal apology, but also claimed that his comments were taken out of context.
Dancing with the Stars sources have now told E! News that Galavis was initially being considered to compete on the show's spring cycle.
