Taylor Swift has expressed her excitement about an upcoming week dedicated to her music on Dancing with the Stars.

Next week (November 21), the long-running US version of Strictly Come Dancing will be paying homage to one of the world’s biggest popstars with “A Celebration of Taylor Swift”.

During this week’s show, host Alfonso Ribeiro introduced a short video recorded by Swift herself in between tour dates, who expressed her own anticipation about next week’s theme.

“I can’t wait to see Dancing with the Stars’ celebration of my eras next week,” the singer said.

“I wish I could be there with you guys, but I’m on tour in Brazil. But I will be there in spirit, and I’ll be watching.”

The six remaining couples in the competition will perform routines to songs by Swift to try and win over both the judges and the public and earn a place in the semi-finals.

As of now, there has been no announcement about which songs will be used, but Swift’s extensive back catalogue of music means Dancing with the Stars will no doubt be spoilt for choice.

Alongside the dances, choreographer Mandy Moore – who created routines for Swift’s current tour – will be a guest judge on the show, alongside the regular judges including Strictly veteran Bruno Tonioli.

This marks another major platform for Swift’s music, after her concert movie Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour was released earlier this year, breaking box office records.

Dancing with the Stars returned to its home on terrestrial television this season, after a short stint exclusively on streaming services – with season 32 airing simultaneously on both ABC and Disney+.

The contestants this year include Jamie Lynn Spears, who after her elimination in the first week, is now taking on a new challenge Down Under by joining this year’s cast of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here.
