CBS has announced the date for How I Met Your Mother's series finale.
The sitcom will end its nine-season run on Monday, March 31 at 8pm ET with a one-hour special.
The show's series finale will be followed by the new comedy Friends with Better Lives at 9pm.
CBS will begin its new Monday lineup on April 14, with 2 Broke Girls moving into How I Met Your Mother's former timeslot of 8pm.
Friends with Better Lives continues at 8.30pm, and then Mike & Molly and
The Tiffany Network recently announced that a How I Met Your Mother spinoff titled How I Met Your Dad is in development.
