The Bachelorette star Chris Siegfried has announced that he plans to release a collection of his poetry.

Siegfried - who got engaged to Desiree Hartsock on the season finale of the ABC show - became famous for the verses that he wrote and recited during the course of the season.

He has now announced on Twitter that he plans to publish a collection of his poems in the near future.

Posting a picture of himself holding an iPad with what appears to be the cover of his anthology, Siegfried wrote: "I am publishing my poetry! With the support of my fam & Des, I have decided to make this dream a reality! #StayTuned."

Meanwhile, Hartsock - who will be contributing her poetry to the collection, according to Siegfried's picture - offered her support on her own Twitter page.

"Real men write poetry!" she joked. "#soproud of @ChrisRSiegfried and his new poetic memoir coming soon #DiamondsandHearts #lovehim."

Siegfried previously told reporters that poetry is "a big part" of his relationship with Hartsock, saying: "It's just another form of our love and communication."
