Star Trek: Discovery will be returning for its final season very soon.
The fifth season of the Star Trek spin-off series will premiere globally on April 4, 2024, on Paramount+. The first two episodes will be made available, followed by the remaining eight rolling out weekly on Thursdays.
In these final episodes, Captain Burnham leads the crew of USS Discovery on its most epic journey yet in search of an ancient power that has hidden itself for centuries.
However, the Discovery crew aren't the only ones in search of this mythical power, as some of their most dangerous foes will stop at nothing to possess it for their own means.
Paramount+ confirmed last year that Star Trek: Discovery's fifth season would its last, promising it would "celebrate the series' impact on the franchise leading up to its final season".

Sonequa Martin-Green, who plays Captain Burnham, has subsequently said that she's feeling "a kaleidoscope of emotions" about the end of Discovery.
"There was definitely the bittersweetness, but then there was this really powerful sense of peace as well because of what we did, what we created, and what we were all able to be a part of. So, yeah, bitter and sweet, but peaceful at the same time," Martin-Green told Entertainment Weekly.
The expanded Star Trek world started by Discovery will continue on without the show, as it was recently announced that mirror universe spin-off Star Trek: Section 31 is currently in production.
Michelle Yeoh will reprise her Discovery role as Emperor Philippa Georgiou, alongside newcomers Robert Kazinsky (EastEnders), Omari Hardwick (Power) and Sam Richardson (Ted Lasso).

Another spin-off, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, is also in production on its third season.
Anson Mount and Ethan Peck will reprise their roles as Captain Christopher Pike and Enterprise science officer Spock.
Star Trek: Discovery seasons 1-4 are streaming on Paramount+. A fifth and final season has been confirmed, and will premiere with two episodes on April 4, 2024.
