Virgin River star Alexandra Breckenridge has revealed that she met her husband thanks to Katy Perry.
The actress, well-known for playing Mel Monroe in the Netflix series, has been married to musician Casey Hooper since 2015.
In a new interview on CBS's The Talk, Breckenridge was preparing a chicken with the show's hosts when she explained how a chicken indirectly led to her finding love (via a pop superstar).

"It's oddly the reason that I met my husband," she began. "So I was at home by myself in my Los Angeles apartment in 2011, cooking a chicken, just cus… And my friend Shannon Woodward called me, and she was coming home with her friend Katy Perry, who I'd never met.
"They came over for some chicken, because I said, 'I'm roasting a chicken, come over'. And she said, 'This is the best chicken I've ever had. Why don't you come to the Grammy party'."
Breckenridge went on to reveal that she decided to take Perry up on her invite, recalling: "So I went to the party, and I met my husband, who was her guitar player at the time."

Virgin River is currently in the middle of its fifth season, with the final two episodes set to drop next month.
Fans have also been awaiting news on the status of season 6, with the show recently confirming that work is underway on the next set of episodes following a delay due to the Hollywood strikes.
Announcing that the writing team is back to work, the show's Instagram account recently posted: "Thrilled to have our writing team back in action, diving into season 6!"
Virgin River seasons 1-5 are streaming now on Netflix. Season 6 has been confirmed.
