The Curse, the new series starring Emma Stone and Nathan Fielder, has dropped its first trailer.
The comedy series sees the pair play Whitney and Asher Siegel, a married couple who front a home-improvement show, Flipanthropy. As they try to conceive a child, the couple are disturbed by a supposed curse, with the series promising some "genre-bending".
The trailer depicts the couple's problematic show, with the pair being hexed after Asher goes back on his word following a donation stunt. The curse puts a strain on their relationship, with the pair questioning if "everything happens for a reason".

The 10-part series also stars Benny Safdie, Corbin Bernsen, Barkhad Abdi and Constance Shulman, with Fielder creating and writing the series alongside Safdie. Stone served as an executive producer alongside Ali Herting and husband Dave McCary.
The Curse will premiere for Showtime members on Paramount+ from November 10, and is the first in a slew of upcoming projects from Stone, with the star already garnering acclaim for her work in Yorgos Lanthimos’ new film, Poor Things.

The adaptation of Alasdair Gray's 1992 novel follows a young Victorian woman named Bella (Stone), who celebrates her independence by running away after being brought back to life by her supposed guardian (Willem Dafoe).
Lanthimos, who previously collaborated with Stone on The Favourite, recently spoke about the film’s sex scenes, revealing that the lead star was completely onboard with faithfully adapting the source material.

"First of all sex is an intrinsic part of the novel itself [in portraying] her freedom about everything," said Lanthimos. "Secondly, it was very important for me to not make a film that would be prudish, because that would be like completely betraying the main character.
"We had to be confident Emma had no shame about her body, nudity [and] engaging in those scenes. She understood that right away; the great thing about me and Emma is that… there is a shorthand – we can communicate without having to explain or talk too much about things."
The Curse will premiere on Paramount+ on November 10, before airing on Showtime two days later.
