The Boys season 4 will finally be welcoming Jeffrey Dean Morgan into the chaotic and eye-opening universe.
Famous for his villainous role as Negan in The Walking Dead, he's been attached via rumours to the Prime Video phenomenon for years now as he's friends with its showrunner Eric Kripke, with conflicting schedules and the coronavirus pandemic coming between him and a cameo.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, he's now officially onboard for the next load of episodes, but his character is being kept under wraps.

Back in May, showrunner Kripke raised doubts once again over Morgan finding space in his calendar for a long-awaited appearance.
"Sad for me, happy for him: he's currently the lead, along with Lauren Cohan, on the Walking Dead spin-off [Isle of the Dead].
"So, schedule-wise, I don't know. We might still remain star-crossed, unfortunately, because I did ask. We had a role come up, and my first question was: 'Well, is Jeffrey available?'" he said.

Jensen Ackles, who worked with both Kripke and Morgan on Supernatural prior to joining The Boys season 3 as Soldier Boy also commented on his hopes for Morgan joining the show after learning of some "preliminary conversations".
"He's a busy man, and everybody wants him to come on their show. I'd love to invite him into this fold because it's nutty."
As for whether Ackles will get the opportunity to face his old pal in The Boys universe, we'll have to wait and see what's in store.
