The Orville star Penny Johnson Jerald has spoken about her feelings towards the sci-fi series' latest season, saying she was "wrong" to be upset about the changes made to the show before season 3.
Speaking to Digital Spy and other media at San Diego Comic-Con, Johnson Jerald reflected on the production changes which were made between seasons 2 and 3, which included the show moving from Fox to Hulu as well as the episodes becoming longer.
"I'm really happy about that," the actress said, revealing she wasn't initially sure about the changes.

"I've been on shows where they move networks and the audience don't follow you but with this show they do and with Hulu it affords you to really tell stories, more so than regular episodic television."
She added: "We are delivering movies to you and I am extremely happy about that. I was wrong to be upset about the move."
"Seeing the green screen come to life, every episode is fun for us to watch too," added her co-star Anne Winters.
"It's fun for us to see the reveal of the world that we were living in."

After the show's season 2 finale aired back in April 2019, fans of the series had a while to wait before season 3, which only premiered in June this year, due to filming complications from COVID.
The decision to move the show from Fox to Hulu was down to the growing ambition for the show's production, according to creator Seth MacFarlane.
"As the show has evolved and become more ambitious production-wise, I determined that I would not be able to deliver episodes until 2020, which would be challenging for the network," he said.
"So we began to discuss how best to support the third season in a way that worked for the show."
The Orville season 3 streams on Hulu in the US. In the UK, you can watch it on STAR on Disney+.
