A new hero has entered the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with Ms Marvel being the latest addition to the Multiverse with a brand new series now streaming on Disney+.
Ms Marvel is Marvel's seventh Disney+ outing to get the MCU TV series treatment, following Moon Knight, Hawkeye, Loki, What If?, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Wandavision.
Ms Marvel follows Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani), a teenage Muslim American high school student from Jersey City who loves video games, writing fan-fiction and is a certified Avengers mega fan, especially when it comes to Captain Marvel.
Navigating her school and home life changes completely when she uncovers a set of bangles that give her the ability to manipulate cosmic energy, awarding her superpowers like the heroes she's always looked up to.
Ms Marvel consists of six episodes, with the first episode now available on Disney+ after dropping June 8. New episodes will release weekly on Wednesdays until the finale on July 13.

Starring alongside Iman Vellani as Ms Marvel is Matt Lintz (The Walking Dead), Aramis Knight (Into the Badlands), Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah (To All the Boys: Always and Forever), Zenobia Shroff (The Affair), Mohan Kapur and more.
Iman Vellani is also set to reprise the role of Ms Marvel in the upcoming MCU blockbuster The Marvels, the sequel to Captain Marvel set for release on July 28, 2023. She will join Brie Larson's Captain Marvel, Teyonah Parris' Monica Rambeau and Samuel L Jackson as Nick Fury in the Phase Four Marvel film.
The MCU will expand even further with more Disney+ originals in the future, with She-Hulk: Attorney at Law coming in August 2022, followed by Echo, I Am Groot, Secret Invasion, Ironheart, Armor Wars, Loki season 2 and a new Daredevil series that is reportedly in the works after being revived by Marvel.
Ms Marvel is out now on Disney+ with new episodes releasing weekly on Wednesdays.
