The Marvels has released a new short trailer teasing a surprising Marvel Cinematic Universe cameo.
The 30-second teaser provides a brief summary of the film's main storyline – Zawe Ashton is Dar-Benn, a baddie wanting revenge because someone "took everything" from her, and Captain Marvel/Carol Danvers (Brie Larson), Ms Marvel/Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani), and Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) must team up to defeat her.
But at the end, we see that Captain Marvel tell her teammates that she's called in an extra bit of help, and we see what looks like the Bifröst flying across space in all its rainbow glory.

But who is going to step out of it? Thor seems like a good shout since he's one of the cornerstones of the MCU, but Valkyrie could also work, since that would fit in with the female team-up angle.
While we've seen plenty of cameos and combinations of superheroes teaming up, Marvel boss Kevin Feige has hyped up The Marvels big time, comparing it to the first Avengers movie.

"There's something immensely powerful about seeing Monica and Kamala and Carol together in a frame," he said. "To me, it's only akin to the first Avengers movie and seeing the six of them together in a frame. It's chill-inducing.
"They're so great together, and they all have different histories with another."
Meanwhile, director Nia DaCosta has stated that the hammer wielded by the villain is definitely a shout-out to the comics.
The Marvels has a release date of November 10, 2023. Captain Marvel is streaming on Disney+ and available on DVD, Blu-ray and digital download.
